BLUEBERRY WAFFLES!

A Soft Place to Fall was the first Romance I narrated and to this day I have not been able to quench my desire for blueberry waffles.  I have tried!  But nobody makes blueberry waffles better than Sam's devoted friend Nancy.

Barbara Bretton turned me on to the Romance genre while I was caring for my mom at the end of her life.  As any super daughter can relate, it's the hardest thing I've ever done and I would not have missed the opportunity for anything.  I turned my life upside down to be with my mom and during that time Barbara's romances seeped into my happy place and made me realize why Romance is such a popular genre.  They just make you feel good!  I fell in love with Annie & Sam and the pizza eating antics of his devoted K-9.  I thirsted for blueberries and lobster rolls and the sweet salty air of the Maine coastline.  I rooted for the couple through all their ups and downs and patiently waited for secrets to be revealed so they could get on with their deserved happiness together.

It's true that I haven't yet found blueberry waffles as good as Nancy's.  But I haven't tried them all yet.  I think I'll head to the coast of Maine this summer... maybe I'll leave a pizza in the back seat of my car...
